LibriVox & The Digital Children's Library

Check out 3 versions of "The Three Little Pigs"

  1. I did a bit of independent wandering between LibriVox and The Digital Children's Library. Of the two, I prefer the latter - at the present time, LibriVox has little to offer sixth graders; I can see far more application of DCL with my curriculum (literary elements, descriptive writing, etc.) I also found CDL to be more visually attractive to the viewer.

  2. I enjoyed looking around at The Digital Children's Library. I think it would be very neat for kids who love to read but don't always have access to the library/ibooks. Most of the books seem to be for younger kids. I'll be spending more time here to figure out what else I can do with it.

  3. This would be great for world language to compare known or unknown stories and translate them. It would be great for ESL students to read things in their native languages. This would be good for multiple types of learners because these sources provide--audio, visual or both together. It would also be nice to compare/contrast older versions of stories to the newer versions.
